What ALERT detects

ALERT records may classify asset theft and leaking, cheating or exploit distribution, fraud and scams, malware or credential theft, targeted harassment, ban evasion, and other verified misconduct. Records can apply to Discord users or entire Discord communities.

How enforcement works

When a member joins, or when the server owner runs a targeted check or full synchronization, ALERT evaluates direct blacklist records, verified associations with blacklisted servers, tracked risk, the server allowlist, and the configured minimum risk. The owner chooses whether each risk level is ignored, logged, alerted, timed out, kicked, or banned.

Directly blacklisted users receive an automated DM explaining the classification, risk, server policy, public reason, reference, and appeal route whenever Discord permits delivery.

What a server association means

An association records verified context: for example, where a user was encountered or which reviewed community they were connected to. It does not automatically establish that every member committed misconduct. Owners can configure association detection independently.

Operational safeguards

• Only the actual Discord server owner can configure or synchronize a guild.
• Full and targeted synchronization has a 30-minute per-server limit.
• Allowlisted users are never punished in that server.
• Kick, ban, and timeout failures identify missing permissions or role-hierarchy problems.
• Enforcement attempts and outcomes are written to protected audit history.
• Evidence, reporters, internal staff notes, sessions, and security logs are not public.

Reporting and correction

Reports and evidence are handled through the official ALERT Discord ticket workflow. Active records are changed only after review. Mistaken identity, overturned findings, and materially inaccurate information can be raised through the appeal process.
